+ DO YOU BOOK FAMILY SESSIONS?
I don’t typically take on family sessions, no. I’ve found if I try to be everything, I can’t give my full attention
and energy to anything. I’d rather be 100% present for my couples than maybe 30% present for everyone.
+ HOW FAR OUT SHOULD I BOOK FOR MY WEDDING?
I usually recommend booking about one year out - that way there’s a good chance your photographer (psssst hi)
is available and you can usually score their prices before they go up. Who doesn’t love to save a quick buck?
+ WHY WOULD I WANT TO ADD ON A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?
Second photographers are what I like to call “insurance” - they can be there for me when I can’t. For instance,
they can be taking photos of your guests at cocktail hour while I’m taking photos of you and your honey! Or if I
have to go to the bathroom, they’ll still be on the floor to catch the shot of your grandma giving you a big hug
and telling you how proud she is of you. We can be in two places at one time, which can be very handy.
+ WILL I RECEIVE THE RAW FILES AS WELL?
Raw files are not just unedited photos. They’re a whole different file format - one that is gigantic and can’t be
processed through anything other than professional editing software, really. So no, I don’t include raws. And I also
don’t include unedited photos - simply because when you book me, you get my editing style too. It would be asking
a painter not to paint in color.
+ CAN YOU PHOTOSHOP ME?
I will absoluuuuutely not photoshop you to look like anything else besides your frickin FLAWLESS self. I would
never want to change what you look like - because that’s you! Authenticity is one of my main business pillars and is
something that I strive to always maintain. That being said, I will remove any small, temporary blemishes
(like acne or bruises), because life happens.
+ WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF PRINTS AND ALBUMS?
We never know what’s going to happen in the digital age. What if your parent’s wedding photos were stored
only on floppy disks? The minute they start phasing out the floppies for flash drives, you would lose the ability
to ever access those photos again. With prints and albums, there is peace of mind in knowing that technology
will never make your photos obsolete or inaccessible. They are heirloom pieces and will carry down from generation
to generation. Your grandkids and great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids will be able to hold them in their
hands and feel the emotions that you felt on your day. It’s frickin priceless, yall.
